South Korean President’s Flash Movie

The South Korean President, Roh Moo-hyun, by way of his official website, has released a political message by way of a Flash animation. President Roh Moo-hyun recently delivered a message to the people, stating that he would deal with the issue of regional rivalry, which we can assume refers to the efforts at reconciliation with North Korea.

The animation is titled ‘Snail’s Dream,’ and it follows a snail through a rainstorm, as it eventually meets up with another snail. According to an article in the Korea Herald, the voice-over says the snail moves “straight ahead on a previous untapped course … in pursuit of something … in self-sacrifice … challenging the uncertain.” The animation ends with a speech from President Roh Moo-hyun, who announces that he is attempting to end “antipathy between eastern and western regions against all odds.”

Under a rainstorm, a snail moves “straight ahead on a previous untapped course … in pursuit of something … in self-sacrifice … challenging the uncertain.” At the end, the snail meets another one coming from the opposite direction and the president’s voice announces that he will go ahead and achieve the task to end antipathy between eastern and western regions against all odds. The president has recently hinted that he may be retiring early from his post, and perhaps he’s entertaining a career in animation.
