2006 Flash Olympics
Fatkat Animation Studios has recently unveiled the 2006 Flash Olympics. 
It’s an internal competition that challenges the Fatkat employees to create new shows and promos. The competition will resolve in June when a panel of judges, including Tony Grillo, Rita Street, Olaf Pyttlik and yours truly, will pick the winners. There are 3 categories - Short Film, Animated Series Pitch and Fatkat Promotional Spot. Winners and runners-up in all categories will be featured here on coldhardflash.com, and some will find themselves entered into the 2006 Ottawa International Animation Festival. Not bad, eh?

I like the idea of a Flash Olympics. It should feature competitions like - cleanest retakes of awful scenes from an Indian studio, best eye comp setup, dodging the show creators, and most creative “limitations of Flash” excuses (to tell your line producer why you just can’t do that revision, without redoing the whole scene.)

I’m not sure if that is a dig at Fatkat or someone’s personal experience with an Indian Studio. No matter, Shape Tween Queen seems to have issues with someone!

Well, it sure doesn’t sound like shape tween queen sknows what they are talking about.
I must say that as the producer of the Olympics I am seeing alot of awesome shit so far!! I would really hate to be a judge!

I think that Shapetween Queen was being funny… and I think that those are funny events!! Especially the “dodging the studio executives”, ha ha ha.

I can’t think of anyone who’d have a problem with Fatkat latley, we’ve never been better! - We have 3 major clients we’re working for right now and they’re all happy. Especially the folks at Mondo Media of whom we’re co-producing Happy Tree Friends with.
Personally I think Ron has invaded this comment thread. hehe.

Now, since Dave is still a “Straykat” - freelancer. I could throw the idea out the krew of letting you participate. I’m down with that. but it’s their vote Davey. ;o) I’d have to open it to Paul Dupuis and Mick Harrison too then!
