French animator Louis de la Taille works in Paris for Xilam on ‘Shuriken School,’ the Flash-animated show airing on Jetix. When he’s not animating school boy ninjas, Louis is animating his own shorts. He recently finished a 3-minute film that mixes stop-motion and Flash animation called ‘la journée de Barbara,’ or ‘Barbara’s Day.’ It was a gift for Louis’ friends’ niece, “who despeartely wanted to become an animated character,” according to Louis. He planned on the production taking a single afternoon, but it blossomed into a 6-month long endeavor. I’m sure many of us can relate. He had help from Julien Ngo Trong, who supplied the audio.
