Max Gilardi struck YouTube gold with his My Little Pony animated shorts. His previous animated work had a fanbase, but when he launched APPLE.MOV, Gilardi’s views went through the roof. Since then, the handful of MLP:FIM shorts he’s produced have all rocketed to millions of views, and this new installment will undoubtedly do the same. Like all things MLP, Gilardi’s fan base grows and grows, and he’s now doing appearances at events like TrotCon in Ohio. I continue to be fascinated by what’s happening here – the MLP:FIM universe has gone from an interesting curiosity to a raging phenomenon in less than 2 years, and the fans are in the driver’s seat.
